A Celebration of ASEAN Flavours, Music, and Friendship

Following the prize presentation ceremony, guests enjoyed a Southeast Asian culinary showcase featuring authentic regional delicacies that reflected the rich and diverse cultures of ASEAN nations. Through the universal language of food, the event fostered deeper people-to-people connections and cultural appreciation.

Pickleball, as a sport without borders, naturally brings people together through teamwork, encouragement, and shared experiences on the court. Complementing this spirit, Southeast Asian cuisine served as a vibrant expression of cultural identity, allowing guests to experience the traditions and flavours of neighbouring countries.

The culinary spread featured a variety of signature dishes, from Indonesia’s Bakso meatball noodle soup and Thailand’s Mango Sticky Rice, to the Philippines’ Adobo and Malaysia’s iconic Nasi Lemak. Guests also enjoyed Singaporean favourites such as Ngoh Hiang and Teh Tarik Jelly, creating a memorable dining experience that celebrated cultural diversity through flavours and hospitality.

The evening concluded on a high note with an energetic cultural celebration, as guests from various countries took to the stage to perform songs ranging from traditional folk tunes to popular classics. The Consul General of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chengdu opened the performances with a lively rendition that immediately energised the crowd. Consuls and international guests from Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and other countries soon joined in, turning the celebration into a joyful evening of music, dance, and camaraderie.

As guests sang and danced together, the atmosphere reached its peak, perfectly capturing the spirit of unity, friendship, and cultural exchange that defined the event. In that moment, sports, food, music, and friendship came together seamlessly, embodying the true meaning of “Pickleball Connects ASEAN, Uniting Hearts.”

Grand ParcVue Hotel Residence Chengdu extends its sincere appreciation to all participating consulates, organising committee members, sponsors, partners, staff, and guests for their invaluable support and enthusiastic participation.
