As China and Singapore commemorate the milestone 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations, a cross-border artistic exchange — the “Art Connects China and Singapore: Co-Creating the Future” Art Appreciation Reception and Exhibition — officially opened on November 28 at Grand ParcVue Hotel Residence Chengdu. The exhibition will remain open to the public until November 30. This event offers Chengdu a feast of both visual beauty and cultural enrichment, standing as a vivid testament to the deepening cultural ties and enduring friendship between the two nations.

Artistic Dialogue: Composing a Cultural Harmony
The exhibition brings together a curated selection of exceptional works from two distinguished artists: Zhou Yaling, a First-Class Artist from Sichuan, and Weng Shujie, a multidisciplinary artist from Singapore. Zhou’s paintings, characterized by delicate brushwork and thoughtful perspectives, showcase the profound heritage and unique charm of traditional Chinese culture. Weng’s works, shaped by diverse stylistic approaches and innovative techniques, reflect the multicultural vibrance of Singapore. Though from different countries, the artists’ creations complement one another, blending strokes and expressions in a shared space. Their works form a harmonious dialogue between Chinese and Singaporean cultures, enabling visitors to appreciate artistic beauty while gaining deeper insight into the contrasts, connections, and mutual enrichment of the two cultures.
